Painter Oh Joon-won is the creator of what he calls the world's first painting of Natural Spiritualism. Each of his works appears to be like a musician singing without sound rather than a painting itself, or as he says, My paintings sing the Great Nature of the Universe, stars and all the beauty in the living things within them, humming with the souls in the name of love. A look at his paintings may tempt you into the fascination of the depths of the beauty of Nature and the peace within it. Oh spearheads his own painting world, devoting himself to offering dedicated love for art while complying with Nature.
Asked about the definition of his own painting world, Oh said, Natural Spiritualism is an art created by unifying the Great Nature and the spirit as a painter. Underneath this is the actual beautifulness of truth, good and beauty, the ultimate value of the good ¡ª the value we all should pursue. My art can be summed up as a conception of the beauty of the inner thing taking precedence over any style of images, and it is in harmony with knowledge and the love of all things.
Regarding the genre of his works, Oh said, My paintings are the world of Natural Spiritualism. All things in Nature live together and are in good harmony with love and embracing.
He continued, How can I dare praise any given field while crusading for Natural Spiritualism? I have to cover, understand and love all fields, so my painting world may lead to uniqueness in terms of techniques, themes and color.
These paintings are born of creativity, and creativity may be the true art. Repeating works night and day as well as the next day and one month later the way they are being painted along the given courses would be compared to mass producing lots of copycats, and it is, of course, without value or significance, and painting works should be worth seeing, reading and being impressed. Being duplicated or repeated with ease cannot be a work of art, it may be seen just as showing showmanship, and the world of humanity always has cracks, as is the case in the art world, which should boast purity.
My world of Natural Spritualism seems like it keeps on sowing seeds of hope. It is an art in which it sows and grows on its own, not a concept of being assisted by anyone, translating the actual beauty of the true values. You and I are not separate parts, and a future vision may be sown and cultivated. It may be full of love, peace and happiness on the canvass, morality and ethical virtues, so personality, the value of humans, can partake as a seed of hope. I may just sing beauty as the space I walk is being filled with bright and clean things. It is a world in which the painter purifies different concepts and it is like the dancing of Natural Spiritualism on a white playground of the unlimited canvas with my and your thankfulness in the living and breathing world. When asked what impact the art of Natural Spiritualism can have on the eco-friendly green industries of late, Oh said, Natural Spritualism may say much about the art of vision, green, the environment and biology, but it sees the spirit of humanity improving. Advancing further may lead to making a habit of a practical life. Having good consciousness in daily life will make all relationships go well, and you and I should share Natural Spiritualism and we will together head forward to a new chapter of life by experiencing hope in the heart in advance foretelling it. We should cultivate on our own a life full of consciousness by waiting for the bigger and wider depths of feeling and flexibility, not doing it selectively, and I strive to devote myself to taking a beautiful course of Natural Spiritualism by sending messages like a poet and singing like a musician. nw
