Celebrates first anniversary of environment services provider's establishment

Korea Environment Corp. (KECO) has pledged to renew itself as an organization leading green growth as well as one recognized for offering high-quality environment services during a ceremony to celebrate the first anniversary of its establishment, following the integration of Korea Environment Resources Corp. and Environment Management Corp.
The anniversary event took place at the grand auditorium of the National Institute of Environmental Human Resources Development on March 4 with Rep. Sohn Bum-gyu and Rep. Lee Jung-sun, both from the National Assembly Environment & Labor Committee, Woo Ki-jong, co-secretary-general of the Secretariat of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth, and some 200 others in attendance.
For KECO executives and staff members, the past year was the time for building internal solidarity and organic chemistry through reorganization, the readjusting of job classifications and the introduction of a new personnel regime. On the basis of this foundation, they said, KECO will demonstrate synergetic effects arising from the merger during this year by declaring its determination to offer, in Korea and abroad, customer-oriented environmental services and gain the confidence of customers by reestablishing its vision of becoming a green growth organization for realizing the happiness of all.
KECO Chairman & CEO Park Seung-hwan said in his speech at the ceremony, ?e?l see to it that the blueprint for logging 600 billion won in revenues from new businesses, ranking top in customer satisfaction and nurturing 25 percent of manpower into environment experts will be realized when we unanimously join forces without fearing changes.Ħħ

GREEN BOOM
KECO and the International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK) have signed an MOU in all overseas environment business areas, including overseas market exploration, support for landing orders and the construction and development of overseas environment facilities.
KECO Chairman Park signed the deal with ICAK Chairman Lee Jae-gyoon at the ICAK office on Feb. 25.
The deal is expected to serve as an opportunity for KECO and ICAK to strengthen their presence in the overseas environment industry through joint collaboration in the exploration of the market and new businesses, KECO officials said.
KECO Chairman Park said, "The combination of KECO? expertise in the construction of environment facilities in Korea and abroad and ICAK? experiences in exploring overseas markets, overseas construction information and projects for supporting the landing of orders would greatly contribute to enhancing the competitiveness toward winning orders and expand our entry into overseas markets."nw
