Shinhan Bank introduces ¡°Queen of Homemaker,¡± a new loan targeting housewives seeking funds to make both ends meet

Shinhan Bank introduced a special loan product called the ¡°Queen of Homemaker¡± for housewives who want to borrow funds to support their living expenses, but have nothing to back up their loans starting December 13, the bank said recently.
The bank said the housewives only need to get their credit investigated by Seoul Credit Guarantee Insurance Co. and live in an apartment worth more than 200 million won either they or their husbands own and their ages range needs to fall between 30 to 60 years.
The maximum upper limit for the loan is 5 million won with an annual minimum interest rate of 11.8 percent, depending on their payments of household bills such as electricity charges, government assessment charges transfers and their own Shinhan credit cards.
The loan will be made in the form of a credit line so that housewives can draw funds from the account when they need money for expenses. Housewives with no income can also apply for the loan by submitting papers that can support their income and their spouses including employment certificates.
