K-water Wins Presidential Award
Company recognized for its excellent personnel training program at 36th National Quality Management Convention
Korea Water Resources Corp. (K-Water) won the Presidential Citation for the Development of Talented Manpower at the 36th National Quality Management Convention on Nov. 23 at COEX auditorium in southern Seoul for the pursuit of its mission to ¡°make a happier world with water¡± through the creation of value and the upgrading of its organizational competitiveness.
President Kim Kuen-ho said he is very happy that K-water won such a prestigious award in the area of human resources training and appreciates everyone who helped the company win it. He said, ¡°The award came to us because K-water has always believed in the fact that manpower training is important, as an excellent pool of manpower can make the company competitive to survive the limitless, global competition.¡±
The state-run company strengthened the strategic partnership of management and manpower training with the capacity based on the educational system to boost management¡¯s strategic enforcement power. K-water, at the same time, has been integrating all of the company¡¯s units and training leaders who can create strategies that can be realized.
The company has also been training global experts who can strengthen the company¡¯s star brand technologies through active learning that can solve current issues. K-water has been trying to upgrade the compatibility of education and personnel at the company through various personnel policies including the system of open hiring, assigning personnel to positions they want and utilizing the personnel pool so that employees can learn the knowledge required for their jobs.
K-water has been taking care of its personnel matters by managing the HR-BANK personnel resources management system, which includes hiring, assignment, education and promotion, among other personnel-related matters.
Since its establishment in 1967, K-water has been implementing national water resource management policies regarding multi-purpose dams, water supply dams and regional water supply systems. It is also making a great contribution toward the development of the national economy and improving the quality of life for local people.
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of its foundation, K-water launched its strategic mission, ¡°Water for a Happier World,¡± and is pursuing innovation and change in order to become the ¡°Best Water Partner¡± in the world.
With basin management, integration, specialization and automation, K-water is making efforts to provide a safe water supply for people so that all may enjoy the benefits of clean water.
