Lotte E&C focuses its operation on satisfying customers demand in living spaces with stylish designs
Lotte Engineering and Construction Co. has been valuing its management policies always focused on the realization of living space suitable for customers in its operations.
Since its launching in 1959, the company has been playing a leading role in all aspects of the construction industry during the half century of its operation including housing, construction, civil and plant construction, among others providing its utmost services.
In recent years, the company has been able to upgrade its international image by advancing into such countries as Japan, Russia, Libya, Vietnam, Jordan and Australia, among others, by doing a superb job of completing its various projects on time and in excellent manners to step up to be a leading global builder in the age of globalism.
In 1999, the company made its name known at home by launching the construction of apartments in its brand name of Lotte Castle, setting up a standard for high-rise luxury apartments, drawing attentions from the industry as well as the people around the country.
The company has been operating a Lotte Castle design consultation team to lead residential housing construction trends in the country in such areas as design, landscape, construction and interiors with the team made of various outside construction experts. The team meets often and lately came up with a ¡°green home¡± designed for highly effective energy uses and environmentally friendly and one-room apartment, ¡°Castle Roomini¡± big enough for a single or couple.
Lotte E&C and Korea Nambu Power Generation signed an MO on a collaboration in overseas power plant in Jordan. The signing took place in Jamsil Lotte Hotel in Seoul on June 18, the company said recently.
The event is aimed at establishing strategic cooperation system to win new projects in the overseas power generation market and simultaneously executing trial operation service agreement for ¡°Al Qatrana electric power generation project in Jordan¡± where both companies are currently involved.
Since the successful completion of the project is Jordan, both companies have been carrying out frequent technical and manpower exchanges with each other. Through this exchange of MOU, both parties came to solidify their strategic partnership in establishing a foothold to launch into the world market as well as in middle East market in the future.
Following the execution of MOU on overseas power generation business, Korea Nambu Power Generation agreed to play a role of power plant construction management service, trial operation service, O&M business, etc, while Lotte E&C will be in charge of carrying out the power plant EPC construction and handle the trial operation service.
Through the MOU, both companies agreed to reinforce mutual cooperation system on global power generation business development and trial operation service business, new & renewable energy business, and so on.
In the meantime, Lotte E&C won the award to reconstruct the building of the Embassy of Korea in Tokyo, Japan, recently worth 80 billion won. The diplomatic facility to be built in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is in the scale of a total building floor area 1,752 square meters with f floor below ground and 7 floors above ground, which will be started in May and completed in May, 2010.
The company emphasized that it designed the building with the idea of combining the elements of practicality and the beauty of Korea¡¯s traditional culture.
The front side of the building gives the impression of a cloth-wrapper, while the elevation is embellished with overlapped thin ramie cloth suggesting Korean traditional dress in a delicate fashion. Especially, it provides vertical louvers (equally spaced narrow plates that are arranged in an oblique manner) at the left and right sides suggesting Korean full dress attire in ramie cloth being spread. It conveys Korea¡¯s dynamic and traditional style through a variety of features for coping with time and seasonal changes by interrupting the direct sunlight as well as the external view. Through winning the order of this embassy project, Lotte E&C came to undertake the 100th construction project in Japan, a construction power nation.
Since its successful completion of ¡®Korean Consulate General in Sapporo building,¡¯ Lotte Construction has been successfully handling a variety of construction projects in Japan such as Haneda Airport International Passenger Terminal, and Nigata Worldcup Stadium, etc. nw
