Former Top-Level KITA Official Selected as Vice Chairman of KOIMA

The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) selected Ko Kwang-suk, former executive director of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), as KOIMA vice chairman on Sept. 14.
A graduate of Korea University, Ko held such KITA positions as chief of KITA¡¯s Beijing Headquarters, international business division chief and executive director. Ko, with expertise in the trade and commerce fields and experience in international affairs, has been credited with contributing to the development of the Korean trade industry. nw

Vice President Kwon Promoted to Head Hyundai Heavy Industries Sports
Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. appointed Vice President Kwon Oh-gap to take the helm at Hyundai Heavy Industries Sports on Sept. 14.
Hyundai Heavy Industries Sports is a subsidiary of the Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, established to consolidate the group¡¯s professional soccer team Ulsan Hyundai, business soccer team Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Shipyard and ssirum (Korean wrestling) team Hyundai Elephant.
Kwon played leading roles in the inauguration of the soccer teams at the University of Ulsan and Ulsan College while working with the Hyundai Group School Foundation and the University of Ulsan during the period between 1990 and 1997. nw
