Nonghyup's Farm Vacation Guide
Farmers' organization develops booklet to guide city dwellers to vacations in farm villages
Where would you go for vacation this summer? The National Agriculture Cooperatives Federation came up with an answer: Spend your vacation in a farm village for a fresh experience, especially if you are city dwellers, says the tourist guide booklet published by the NACF.
The tourist guide named "FarmStay" contains some 277 farm villages across the country suitable for residents of large cities or those who want to experience farm village life directly by staying a couple of days in one of the farm towns recommended by FarmStay.
The booklet, 150 mm x 220 mm in size, is easy to carry around in a travel bag and has explanations on where to stay, where to enjoy good farm foods, where to buy indigenous produce and mementoes and who and where to contact with maps and phone numbers, photos and information on how to get to these recommended farm villages across the country.
It also has the information on group travel including the names of farm villages with places big enough to accommodate group tours, such as meeting halls, barbeque facilities, and parking lots, and if credit cards are accepted.
This information can be obtained through the FarmStay homepage on the Internet: www.farmstay.co.kr or some navigation gauges being sold around the country. nw
