CEO declares determination to be No.1 convergence service provider

  

hanarotelecom, acquired by SK Telecom, has been renamed SK Broadband Co. Marking the 11th anniversary of its establishment, hanarotelecom held a ceremony to declare its new corporate identity by changing its name to SK Broadband Co. and introducing its integrated brand "broad&"at the Seoul Universal Center on Sept. 22.
SK Broadband President & CEO Cho Shin said in his speech at the ceremony, "Today's new beginning means it's a responsible move toward becoming the number one convergence service provider."He said his company will usher in a world of convergence no one has ever seen before by offering innovative customer value and customer-oriented services.
On the morning of Sept. 22, prior to the event, SK Broadband held an extraordinary shareholders session to approve its new CI and integrated brand "broad&."SK Broadband's new CI, a combination of the SK Group's CI "the Wing of Happiness"and the high-speed Internet service, broadband, indicates its determination to expand its convergence services based on its high-speed Internet base as a member of the conglomerate.
The integrated brand "broad&"is designed to express freshness and diversity. Brands will be named on the base of "broad&,"so the existing "HanaFos," "HanaFone"and "HanaTV"will be changed to "broad&," "broad&fone"and "broad&tv,"respectively.
At the same time, SK Broadband unveiled its new slogan, "See The Unseen,"which means that it creates innovative trends in a wider, newer perspective and leads customer-oriented trends so that customers can enjoy services in an easier and more convenient manner. nw
