Flights with Shenzhen Airlines

The deal raises the number of code-share flights to 1,283 on 135 routes between Korea and China

Starting March 30, Asiana Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines of China will launch code-share flights between Seoul and Shenzhen, the Korean national flag carrier said on March 11.
Asiana Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines operate three and four flights on the Seoul-Shenzhen route per week, respectively. The code-share deal will allow Asian Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines passengers a wider choice of flights and convenience by utilizing seven flights on every day except Saturdays. The seven flights include two Friday flights.
The agreement will bring to four the number of Chinese airlines with which Asiana Airlines has forged code-share ties, building up the largest network of routes between Korea and China ¡ª 1,283 flights on 135 routes. Asiana Airlines currently maintains code-share ties with Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines Company.
The latest code-share agreement will be the "blocked seat"allotment type in which a given number of seats are allotted for each other's passengers. Asiana Airlines membership passengers will earn miles when they board code-share flights with Asiana tickets.
Currently, Asiana has code-share flights with 15 airlines, including United Airlines, ANA Airlines, and Singapore Airlines. Asiana is now in talks with Shanghai Airlines, which joined the Star Alliance late last year, regarding code-share flights. The Korean carrier plans to raise the number of code-share flights with Qatar Airways from the current six per week. nw
