Riesling Pairings at Seasons
Millennium Seoul Hilton's acclaimed French restaurant, is pleased to welcome the spring with a celebration of the asparagus. During the months of April and May, Executive Chef Park Hyo-nam will display his culinary prowess by offering a seasonal selection of white and green asparagus dishes, both on the a la carte menu and on a special tasting menu. To enhance the dining experience, Chef Park has also suggested pairings with Riesling wines. These German wines are the ideal accompaniment to the asparagus dishes.
As a special bonus, from April 4th through the 12th, Seasons will welcome a visiting chef from Germany, who will bring his expertise on asparagus and Riseling, both renowned in Germany. To celebrate the chef's arrival, a special gala dinner will be held on Friday, April 4th. The gala will include a marvelous multi-course dinner featuring white and green asparagus, and paired with different Rieslings. This gala promises to be a wonderful treat for the gourmand and the wine connoisseur.
Asparagus has been used from very early times as a culinary vegetable, owing to its delicate flavour and diuretic properties. The tender young expanded shoots or spears are prepared in a wide variety of ways in different world cuisines. Asparagus is low in calories, contains no fat or cholesterol, and is very low in sodium. It is a good source of folic acid, potassium and fiber.
