Doosan Infracore Aggressive
in Exploring New Markets

Ranks 1st in Chinese excavator market, wins the $2 billion Export Tower Award

Doosan Infracore has become one of Korea's representative world-class companies by developing machinery into Korea's next-generation mainstay export industry.
The company has helped transform the deficit-ridden machine industry into a profitable key growth industry. It did this by becoming the first Korean machinery company to re-export machinery to Japan, a historic global machinery powerhouse.
Doosan Infracore's exports surged from $1.25 billion in 2005 to $2.165 billion this year, nearly doubling in two years.
Choi Seung-chol, President and CEO of Doosan Infracore, won the Order of Industrial Service Gold Tower, and Doosan Infracore was awarded the $2 billion Export Tower Award.
Thanks to its effective marketing activities in advanced countries, Doosan Infracore saw sales climb more than 40 percent in major European regions, while exports to the United States doubled.
Adopting a strategy to dominate new markets in advance, Doosan Infracore has made a strong showing in both China and India. The company has become the primary excavator provider in both countries, and saw machine tool exports surge 65 percent in China, while sales tripled in India.
Doosan Infracore acquired a Chinese wheeled loader maker to enter the Chinese wheeled loader market, and took over CTI of the United States to secure CTI-patented hydrogen/natural gas (HCNG)-related technologies. The company also acquired the world's No. 1 compact equipment maker, Bobcat, to cap a series of M&As in a bid to secure state-of-the-art technologies and expanding dealership networks.
Doosan Infracore has formed a perfect portfolio of finished products by region. The company ranked first in the skid loader market, third in the mid-excavator market, first in the attachment market and first in the air compressor market. nw
