LG Incorporates Art
into Technology at IFA 2007

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, has unveiled its latest products at IFA 2007, held in Berlin from August 31 to September 5. Under the theme of "Design Art" the company demonstrated its latest technology innovations with stylish features.

"We at LG have been leading technology innovation for over a decade. Now we are working to attract a more stylish audience in Europe and beyond, with our intelligent, emotionally appealing products," said Kim Tae-bong, VP of LG Electronics Design Center. "LG is now developing 'coveted'products, rather than just 'needed'products."
LG's showcase highlights are divided into two categories: the "Design Art" theme and industry-leading technologies. These products will allow European consumers to create a stylish living room while also embracing the latest technologies.

Design Art TV Series
The key feature of LG's Design Art LCD TVs is a unique ring-shaped supporter, which gives the sets a distinctively modern look and feel. The line also features speakers that are covered by a special film that keeps them completely out of sight, without affecting the sound quality. These design-focused TVs provide the HD or Full HD picture quality and easy connectivity. The series offers viewers a vivid and lifelike viewing experience with LG's exclusive XD Engine and enhanced 10,000:1 contrast ratio, creating deeper black levels and providing a fuller range of colors. With its intelligent Eye technology incorporated to optimize brightness and contrast, viewers are able to enjoy the best picture possible without eye fatigue. Marketed as "watch in style" in Europe, the Design Art TVs are true eye candy for sophisticated consumers.

This home theater system boasts elegant champagne glass-shaped speakers and stands as well as an excellent graphic user interface. Featuring HDMI 1080p Up-Conversion and SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC), the system guarantees the best picture-sound quality and compatibility with connected digital equipment.

Pause & Play TVs with Built-in DVR
With a 160-gygabyte digital DVRs and dual digital tuners, the Pause and Play TVs are capable of storing up to 48 hours and 10 minutes of digital high quality programming or 86 hours and 20 minutes of digital standard quality programming. Another exciting feature is dual digital tuners, which allow viewers to watch one program while recording another. Boasting sleek look, the TVs are also easy to use, right out of the box.
Other products showcased in the industry-leading technology category include the world's first full HD 100 Hz LCD TV and the highest 100 Hz Plasma TV, Full HD MPEG4 LCD TV, External Dual HD Drive and 6X Blu-ray Disc Rewriter and 3X HD DVD ROM.
