CAK Announces
New CI and 2015 Vision
The late chairmen of Sambu and Daelim were honored posthumously.
The Construction Association of Korea (CAK) has unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) and long-term development strategies on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its establishment.
About 120 people, including Cho In-hyun, chairman of the National Assembly Construction & Transportation Committee, Kwon Hong-sa, CAK chairman, and leaders from construction circles participated in an anniversary event held at the Palace Hotel in Nonhyon-dong, Seoul on July 25. The event also coincided with a party celebrating the publication of a pictorial book portraying Korea? 60th anniversary of the construction industry.
CAK? new CI symbolizes the initials of the Construction Association of Korea. This means that the CAK is responsible for being innovative to advance Korea in the world, the association said.
CAK declared the Vision 2015 and pledged to make a second "renaissance of Korea's construction industry."The late Cho Chung-koo,
honorary chairman of Sambu and the late Lee Jae-joon, honorary chairman of Daelim were designed as "prides of the Construction Industry"and awarded with a plaque posthumously in recognition of their contribution to the domestic construction industry. The late business leaders served as the chairmen of CAK during the period between the 1960s and the 1980s. nw
