GS Engineering & Construction Co. plans to rebuild its organizational structure, create new demand and secure stable revenue sources to strengthen its global capacity.
The sales revenue for this year is targeted at 6.5 trillion won, up from 5.7 trillion won last year. By sectors, the civil engineering will focus on SOC projects, projecting a large growth, making a huge contribution to improving the net profit in relation to total sales. The company also expects to do great in plant orders overseas due to increases in orders in the plant construction market , sustaining increases in orders and sales in plants for the company.
GS Construction sees no trouble meeting its order targets in overseas this year with such big order for aromatic plant in Oman likely to come in its way. The housing sector is projected to slow down a bit this year, but sales are likely to expand thanks to orders for reconstruction, redevelopment, and increases in outsourcing of projects.Orders received by the housing business sector will be around 3.4 trillion won, down a little bit from last year. But sales will increase 15 percent to 2 trillion won. The sales of houses will rise to 12,516 units on 21 projects this year, up substantially from 5,221 units on 9 projects in 2006.
GS Construction projects that the introduction of the upper limit on allocation sales prices of apartments and the buyer application point system will deepen the two extremes of prices in the housing market, but the company will focus on the management of its brand. Xi's high quality image and differentiated design and the high quality of finishing work and design will be stressed. At the same time, the company plans to focus on building affluent residential spaces to satisfy customers'biz to the best. nw
