Heekyung aims to post 100 bln won in sales for next year

Despite its relatively short history of 12 years, Heekyung Engineering & Construction has established itself as a mid-sized yet solid construction company.
Heekyung, which ranks 297th among the general construction companies, aims to raise its sales to 100 billion next year, up from an estimated 90 billion won for this year. Heekyung is seeking to develop its own brand for development projects, advance to BTL (Build, Transfer and Lease) projects and turn to overseas market under a differentiated mid- and long-term strategy with a goal of becoming a reliable integrated construction company.
Behind the brilliant achievements is CEO Park Hee-yul, who has put his heart and soul into performing his job with a determined resolve. He has been at the helm of the company since 1994.
Making the most of its strong point of rapid decision-making, Heekyung CEO Park is striving not only to expand sales, but also to raise profits.
Among the major projects conducted by Heekyung are an expansion of Happy World Department Store Building in Mok-dong,
Seoul and Turn-key based construction of the Korea Aerospace Industries building.
Heekyung has declared its new management slogan, "Life Is Happiness,"in an effort to create architectural space with a target of pursing happiness. The company expounds four concepts.
First, Heekyung purses happiness of space. The company believes in the fact that all spaces are for ensuring happiness, so high-quality, safety and economic construction are prerequisite for making space for happiness.
Secondly, Heekyung attaches priority into relationship for pursuing happiness. The company is putting on a pedestal happy harmony between people, between human being and construction, and between human being and nature, saying that architectural space lies in the beauty of harmony.
Thirdly, Heekyung is putting more energy into meeting customers'happiness. The company believes that creating space disregarding customers'convenience and their demands is meaningless,
and what is most significant is to create space for satisfying customers'happiness to the extent they are moved. True to the new management slogan, the company has a soft and amicable atmosphere. Heekyung has nurtured a refreshing corporate culture on its own way. To this end, the company has held such events as a year-end wine party, a marathon competition for all staff and pansori performances since 2004.
