Seventeen people win government orders and medals during 2006 Advertising Awards
Welcomm President-CEO Moon Ae-ran was presented with the Order of Civil Merit, Dongbaek during 2006 Korea Advertising Awards.
She is one of the 17 people who have been decorated with government medals and awards during 2006 Korea Advertising Awards, organized by Korea Federation of Advertising Association (KFAA) at the Korea Advertising Culture Hall in Shincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul on Nov. 8.
KFAA Chairman Nam Sang-jo said in his speech during 2006 Advertising Awards advertising people should take social responsibility corresponding to quantitative growth of the domestic advertising industry, which has grown into the top 10 advertising powerhouse in the world.
In his congratulatory message, Minister of Culture and Tourism Kim Myung-gon said his ministry is working on the establishment of a five-year advertising development plan to nurture futuristic growth engines of the domestic advertising industry.
Meanwhile, 2006 Advertising Award Grand Prize went to "Life's Center"advertising series by TBWA Korea for SK Telecom.
Prof. Yoo Chang-jo, of Dongkook University Advertising Department, told the 2006 Advertising Awards seminar that the advertising industry will have to shift its role from advertising agents to content providers, saying that advertising service companies should pursue a project model targeting general customers, departing from its focus on advertising agency. nw
