President Yoon takes over helm of the Korea Nuclear Fuel Co.

President Yoon Maeng-hyun of the Korea Nuclear Fuel Co., in his inaugural ceremony speech before the entire officers and employees of the company on June 12, said he takes a great pride to become head of the company armed with excellent manpower and technology.
He stressed that we need to have our own awareness for crisis and tension gripping the company and its business environment to secure a higher price competitiveness, technology and quality, and services satisfactory to customers. He continued that we need to secure global edge to grow KNFC's brand power to become global in its quality so that the company's reputation will be known in the world.
President Yoon was appointed through a public screening of candidates by the company's shareholders'meeting on June 9. He is a graduate of Seoul National University Nuclear Engineering Department and earned a doctorate on nuclear engineering from the UCLA in Los Angeles, the United States.
He entered the Korea Electric Power Corp as manager of nuclear fuel development department, and in 2003, he was promoted to head the company's foreign business headquarters. He was also chairman of the Korea Energy Engineering Association, known widely at home and abroad as an expert on nuclear energy. nw
