Reorganization at KISDI
Move to boost policy contribution and strengthen research capacity
The Korea Information Strategy Development Institute(KISDI: President Sok Ho-ik) has created the information policy and broadcasting policy teams for formal launch of research on the matter of future and broadcasting and communication integration.
KISDI said it has restructured its organization to 7 offices and 1 bureau from 8 offices in a move to boost the contribution of policies and strengthen the research capacity. In the reorganization, the digital future research office has been changed to the future strategy research office and established the future society research team and the information policy team. The communication broadcasting research office has been changed to the communication broadcasting policy research office for an independent study of broadcasting policy and set up a number of new teams including the broadcasting policy, electronic wave policy and broadcasting policy.
President Sok said he plans to build a professional study system on communication competition policy to cope with the trend of integration in the broadcasting sector and strengthen the research capacity for future IT strategies and national vision.
Under the reorganization, Seo Bo-hyun, former international cooperation research office manager, has been reassigned to head the planning and coordination office; Ko Sang-won, former manage of the information communication industry research office, has been named to head the information communication research office; Kim Chol-wan, former information communication North Korea research center, has been named to take over the information communication cooperation research office; Kang Hong-yul, former digital future research office, has been appointed to head the future strategy research office; Tso Seong-woon, manager of the communication broadcasting research office, has been reassigned to take over the communication broadcasting research office; Kim Hyong-chan, manager of the fair competition policy research office, has been named to head the fair competition research office; Yoon Sok-hyun, manager of the reform strategy research office, has been named to take over the strategy research office.
