SBA Transforms SETEC into
Integrated Convention Center


Upgraded with an international level one with international conference halls and other amenities

Seoul Trade Exhibition (SETEC) has been expanded and revamped into an integrated convention center catering to SMEs'demands.
Seoul Business Agency (SBA) upgraded SETEC, which once served solely as an exhibition, into a comprehensive convention center with such additional functions as international conference rooms, convention halls, amenities and auxiliary facilities. SBA also moved into the renovated integrated convention center. The participants of the ceremony included Seoul Mayor Lee Myung-bak and SBA President Kwon Oh-nam.
SBA officially opened the revamped convention center for SMEs, located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul during a ceremony held on April 6.
The opening ceremony coincided with an explanation session on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's policies to expedite the economy of Seoul, including the ones designed to promote SMEs.
The upgraded convention center are furnished with international conference rooms ranging from 50 seats to 290 seats, convention halls boasting diverse video and audio and illumination equipment and other amenities like official paper work office, VIP room and cafe. It also boasts of three exhibition halls with a combined floor space of 3,333 pyeong on a lot covering 9,378 pyeong. One pyeong equals to 3.3 sq. meters.
