President stresses technological development as integrated water services provider
The Korea Water Resources Corporation President Kwak Kyul-ho said KOWACO will exert itself to enhance its standing as an integrated water & wastewater services provider by capitalizing on its capability and public trust. KOWACO will expand its business arena by not only linking multi-purpose dams and greater area tap water management, but also integrating water and wastewater management ranging from stream water utilization and water quality, ecosystem and the environment.
In his New Year's message, KOWACO President Kwak stressed the development of advanced technologies on its own with the goal of becoming a global top three integrated water and wastewater management corporation. He noted that KOWACO has have more opportunities to develop technologies than any company in any country since the corporation is a multi-discipline business covering construction and management of such large-scale water facilities as multi-purpose dams, streams and greater area tap water, an unprecedented case in the world.
The KOWACO president called for the launch of the Siwha Multi-Techno Valley (MTV) Project and Songsan Green City Project within this year by proactively supporting activities by sustainable development consultation committees, saying that the projects are considered essential to change the public image of KOWACO pursuing eco-friendly management.
Kwak urged his executives and staff to make every effort to evolve KOWACO into one of best water services providers by joining forces in innovation efforts on a constant basis.
He asked them to not only make all duties customer-oriented and transparent, but also do away with irrational and unjust practices. The president called for KOWACO to become an ethics management example and all to share responsibility if an erroneous thing occurs and create a corporate culture of harmonizing and solidifying. nw
