The company sets up the booth at Incheon Int'l Airport to showcase its high-tech products
SK Telecom set up a booth to display its ubiquitous service products at Incheon International Airport, which has rapidly become a hub airport in Northeastern Asia, the company said recently.
Air passengers using the airport would be able to view such high-tech ubiquitous products as WCDMA, Satellite DMB, 3D Game and Mellon, among others, all high-tech ubiquitous products so that people would know Korea's strength as a powerful IT country.
The company said it's located on the third floor of the airport and its 123 pyeong in size and named 'U-Zone'or ubiquitous zone, where people would be able to learn about ubiquitous IT service.
People would be able to view the booths without the help of guides freely, not restricted by time, since the company put into use : "mobile guides"with the help of cell phone screens.
SK Telecom already operates "SKT Publicity Hall"in Bundang, "Digital Home Experience Hall"and "Momu"mobile museum, where people can experience high-tech mobile service provided by SK Telecom. "U-Zone"is its latest IT display booth, which can be an IT experience course not only for domestic passengers but foreign visitors as well.
Dignitaries present the opening of the new IT booth included President Kim Shin-bae of SK Telecom, Incheon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo, and President of Incheon International Airport Lee Jae-hi. The SK Telecom president, in his speech, said 'U-Zone'he expected, would be a famous place for showing off Korea's strong IT technologies to visitors arriving at the airport and to the world.
'U-Zone'uses four languages, Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese, and is open for 12 hours a day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and visitors can visit the booth without prior appointments. nw
