Doosan Heavy Clinches
Gold Award
At the 19th International ARC Award 2005 with the award to be
presented next month in New York
Doosan Heavy Industry Co. clinched the gold award at the 2005 International ARC Award, a top-rated annual report competitive event, the company announced recently.
About 1,500 companies around the world participated in the 19th International ARC Award. Deliberation committee members review a wide range of areas in annual reports submitted by the participating firms from transparency, revealing methods of corporate information, the expression methods of financial statements, creativity in design, among others.
The evaluation committee members included world-renowned authors, designers, and corporate investment relations and accountants.
Doosan Heavy won the top prize in the engineering area, one of the 12 categories in the competition. The annual report for 2004 handed in by Doosan included mainly contents for public relations and financial results, stressing the company's ambition to be a global enterprise based on technology, quality and customer satisfaction under the title of global action describing its global management style.
The report had its first 12 pages devoted to showing the company's vigorous and divergent actions in the global plant market with vivid photos.
The award will be presented at an award ceremony to be held in early September in New York and the award winning annual reports will be on display at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg, Germany, for a month under the title of Arts of the Annual Report.
