Asiana Airlines'High-End
Marketing on Gimpo-Haneda Route

Announces a package of marketing, including the operation of Airbus330

Asiana Airlines is aggressively pitching for its Gimpo-Haneda flights in a bid to gain a greater share in the passenger market between Korea and Japan.
The national flag carrier has announced a package of marketing for its Gimpo-Haneda flights, including the operation of the ultramodern Airbus 330, all tailored to make businessmen's business tours a one-day living sphere.
Effective August 1, Asiana's first Gimpo-Haneda flight will depart Kimpo International Airport at 8:35 a.m. and arrive at Haneda International Airport at 10:35 a.m., while its flight will leave Haneda at noon and arrive at Kimpo 2:20 p.m. The airline will have its second flight departing Kimpo at 3:50 p.m. and arriving at Haneda at 5:50 p.m., while its returning flight will depart Haneda at 7:20 p.m. and arrive at Kimpo at 9:40 p.m.
Asiana's Gimpo-Haneda flights will make it convenient for travelers to depart Seoul for Tokyo and make a return flight back to Seoul using the same airline within one day. Now four airlines operate one flight on the route per day, so passengers wanting to return to Seoul on the same day have to take a flight of other airline or detour via Narita International Airport.
Asiana Airlines on July 14 introduced the updated Airbus 330, to be put on the Gimpo-Haneda flight route. The Airbus 330, now in operation on the Kimpo-Osaka flight route, has 30 business seats and 260 economy-class seats. Business-class passengers can lean their seats backward at the widest degree of 166.7 while enjoying the widest flight space - 58 inches setting apart- "Premium Business Class Sheet," a minibar in exclusive use for business-class passengers and Video on Demand (VOD) service.
The airline introduced Airbus 330 because a majority of the passengers of the Gimpo-Haneda flights are businessmen and reservations for business seats are booked up earlier than economy-class ones.
Asiana plans to upgrade "Haneda Well-being Kimchi Menu" that has enjoyed popularity among Japanese passengers.
The airline's Gimpo-Haneda flights have posted an average passenger load rate of 82 percent, quite higher compared to other routes, during the first seven months of the year. They raked in a remarked 10.4 billion won in net income thanks to a higher rate of selling business-class seats.
