1st Int'l Parking Symposium

The International Parking Symposium, organized by the International Parking Association (IPA) at KINTEX from July 7 through July 10, has dealt with policies designed to solve parking problems facing each country.
The outcomes, limits and tasks of the "Green Parking,"a policy initiated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, were presented and discussed during the conference, held under the theme "Parking Deficiency in Urban Area and the Solution."IPA is a body, established by Korea Parking System Industry Cooperative (KPSIC), to promote exchanges with the global parking industry and pursue the development of the local parking industry.
KPSIC showcases its solutions to parking problems during an exhibition. It suggests construction of parking space in such places as school underground, parking underground, and the space between overpasses and roads in a bid to cope with parking deficiency. nw
