K
orea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX), the nation's largest exhibition site, has served as the venue for holing the International Road & Traffic Expo 2005 and the ceremony marking the 14th anniversary of Road Day.
After the first phase of construction, KINTEX, also Korea's newest and most modern convention and exhibition facility, has been born. For the construction, over 270,000 people had participated and $200 million had been invested, producing more than 53,000 square meters of exhibition space.

In order to accommodate various international events, KINTEX is equipped with a simultaneous interpretation system covering languages of eight nations including France, China, Germany and Italy. KINTEX is also installed with intelligence building system (IBS).

The construction of KINTEX is significant in that it proves the nation now has an exhibition site that matches the nation's status as the world's 10th largest economic power. For small and medium companies and export firms, the establishment of such a site provides them with the opportunity to engage in negotiations with foreign buyers without having to go abroad.
Just 40 minutes away from Incheon International Airport, KINTEX is expected to serve as the hub for attracting foreign investment. It will also serve as the center for the promotion of international trade and logistics as it is located near the envisioned Incheon Free Economic Zone.
