Expo Draws Keen Attention
The 1st International Road & Traffic Expo 2005 is rated to be a representive road and traffic trade show in Korea and Northeast Asia that was held at the world-class exhibition venue, Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX).
Some 450 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors from Korea and other foreign nations took part in the exhibition, held under the theme of "Advanced Technology and Safety on the Road."Companies displayed in the fair various kinds of items related to the construction, repair and maintenance of roads, traffic signs, road safety facilities and equipment, intelligent traffic system and parking facilities.
Reflecting up-to-date technology trend, state-of-the-art construction and environment-friendly methods were also introduced.
Many influential industry leaders took part in the Road & Traffic 2005. With so many significant individuals attending the exhibition, organizers prepared a technical and scientific program of the highest quality.
Leading domestic companies were briskly engaged in the exhibition by setting up their own booths. They included Samsung Corporation, Hyundai Engineering and Construction, Daewoo Engineering and Construction, Daelim Engineering and Construction, POSCO Engineering and Construction, GS Construction and Doosan Industrial Development. State-run companies like Korea Highway Corporation are also taking part in the exhibition.
Many leading companies in the road technology area have been attracting attention with their own new technologies.
Many U.S. and Japanese companies have also rolled up their sleeves in efforts to raise their corporate images and attract clients.
KINTEX president Kim In-shik said prior to the opening of the exhibition, ?e will be able to set up the ground work for industrial development related to road traffic through this event."The fair will also provide domestic companies and engineers with the chance to advance into foreign markets more briskly. We plan to expand the scope of exhibition items from the second event which will be held in 2007."Main international road exhibitions included the Intertraffic Amsterdam and others in Europe and North and South Americas.
In Asia, Japan and other Southeast Asian nations also competed to host the international event.
Against this backdrop, the event provided the nation with the opportunity to take the lead in the relevant markets . nw
