Niedermark to Head Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Board of the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce has appointed Wolfgang Niedermark as new Secretary General of the chamber effective from Feb.1, 2005, He will succeed Florioan Schuffner, who headed the chamber until August, 2004.
Niedermark, 40, holds an MA in geography. He had been working for the German Asia-Pacific Business Association based in Hamburg from 1994 till August, 2003since 1998 as Executive Director and since 2001 as Executive Member of the Board. In 2001, he was also a founding director of the Korean German Forum. Since September, 2003, he has worked for a big German publishing group where he was responsible for the business development in China. nw
