Korean Air Sharing Mileage Service with Vietnam Airlines
- SkyPass and Vietnamese Golden Lotus Plus members benefit from the reciprocal arrangement

Korean Air (KAL) and Vietnamese Airlines have launched a reciprocal program which each airline giving mileage points to passengers of the other airliner's flights.

The two airlines agreed to form a reciprocal arrangement between the frequent flier programs of KAL (SkyPass) and Vietnam Airlines (Golden Lotus Plus), effective Sept. 1, following lengthy neogiations.

Under the agreement, KAL SkyPass members can accumulate points on all regularly scheduled flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, while Vietnam Airlines' Golden Lotus Plus can get the equivalent benefits on flights operated by KAL.

SkyPass members are also able to spend the accumulated points on flights, operated by Vietnamese Airlines and Golden Lotus Plus members, on flights operated by KAL.

The arrangement is applies to all domestic and overseas flights operated by KAL and domestic flights operated by Vietnamese Airlines Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi-Danang and Ho Chi-nibh-Danang and all its overseas flights.

Passengers who want to accumulate mileage points on flights are required to update their membership cards of each other's airline or submit an application for a new membership card.

KAL is sharing mileage programs with SkyTeam member airlines Delta, Air France, Czech Airline, Aero Mexico and Alitalia. KAL's reciprocal arrangement with Vietnamese Airlines has brought to five the number of foreign airliners with which KAL is sharing mileage programs.   nw
