ITS Korea Participates in 11th ITS World Convention
- Some 200 from Korea attend the world event to show off ITS products

ITS Korea said it participated in the 11th World Conference of Intelligence Transport System(ITS) in Nagoya, Japan, Oct.18-24.

About 20 Korean firms in the ITS industry participated in the world event to raise the global profile of the Korean ITS industry, especially, Korea's ITS solution, transport information distribution, and traveler's information service.

ITS Korea operated the Korean booth at the global event in Nagoya with the support of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, the Korea Highway Corp., the Korea Transportation Development Institute, Korea Land Institute, and the Korean Construction Technology Institute. The booth was designed to show off Korea as a strong ITS country, along with its unique image, the current status of ITS and policies.

ITS Korea intended to turn its activity in the Nagoya event into a stepping stone for advancement of its member firms  to world stage by showing off Korea's ITS policies, organizations, business details, and the introduction of private ITS firms through various publications in English. They also displayed videos at the booth.

About 200 people representing the government, academics and research organizations participated in the global event in Japan. Government officials introduced its ITS-related policies and tried to attract foreign investments to Korea, academics introduced the current status of the development of IT technologies. Private ITS firms dispensed their efforts for public relations to display their products.   nw
